Elliot has been valuing property across London for fifteen years, mostly for solicitors and accountants who need someone they can rely on when things get complicated. Running Taylor Surveyors, he’s built a practice around the kind of work that demands precision: probate, inheritance tax, leasehold enfranchisement, expert witness.

Studying law before surveying probably explains why he enjoys the technical stuff more than most. Taylor Berlin came about because he kept working alongside James on instructions that were better handled together.

James

James runs James Berlin & Associates and has spent twenty years in the commercial property world, mostly specialising in rent reviews, lease renewals and rating appeals. James has vast experience representing both landlords and tenants of retail, office, industrial and leisure properties during rent review/lease renewal negotiations as well as making representations at Arbitration/Independent Expert/Pact. In addition James has acted for occupiers dating back to the 2005 Rating List and has successfully agreed a vast number of reductions with the Valuation Office and at Valuation Tribunal ultimately saving clients a considerable amount of money.

Commercial property value, in his hands, is something to be built, challenged and defended from the inside out. Taylor Berlin came about because the best instructions kept pulling him and Elliot into the same room anyway.
